imporant things here

Surely folks want more information on the upcoming 5K run to support women in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo.

Surely folks want more information on the upcoming weekend of discussing liberal and radical ideologies within a Mormon context.

miracles they told me about

"Well, today two girls appeared out of nowhere and handed me a pineapple and said "Congrats! You just won Pineapple Wednesday. That's all."

"I had the idea to call an old friend to talk--then I didn't. Two days later he called me to talk. There are no such things as coincidences."

"Through my recent walk with God, It's been clear that having Faith seriously helps. God said that He provides food and water and shelter for the Birds. And he notes how much more important we are than the birds. I am a Freshman and I have had no pressing needs. And I haven't worried about much at all. But I had Faith and God provided! BOOSH!"

"I got to class today even though I'm sick!"

"The small things can be miracles. Tiny things that are inconsequential to the world. For example: I just got married. I also love guitar. When I was a kid and times were bad (I was abused by my mother) someone would take out a guitar and there would be peace. Well, I knew my husband didn't play guitar, but it turns out he has an uncle who does. So when I am with his family I get to hear the music that makes me happy."

"My story begins with gratitude. I am so grateful for my existence. Life is great. My story involves people I love, and I couldn't be happier. My story involves being/living in Ecuador. It awakened me, I saw things everyday that caused me to grow into who I am, and to appreciate those in less fortunate circumstances than me. I love orphans & Ecuador! te amo!"

"A stray bullet went through my boyfriend's window and missed his head by inches. He had been sitting up a few minutes before. Had he not laid down, he would be dead. What a miracle!"

"That Monday we had a big snowstorm, I was driving back from Provo. Being dumb, I was going about 80 mph. I drive a Jeep. So I thought I'd be fine. I even had it in 4 wheel drive. In Ogden, my back tires started drifting left. I tried to straighten out, but it threw my tires to the right. "Oh no!" I thought. "I'm fish-tailing!" I tried once more, which put me sliding north while I was facing east. I knew I was going to die. I thought about my girlfriend. Then I remembered once, four years ago, when I once helped a friend when she was going to get in an accident. I performed the same manuever and I ended up pulling out of the slide. I didn't run off the road. I didn't get hit by a car, or the semi that was coming up behind me. I cannot take full credit for my not death. I must admit there was a higher power involved in the preservation of my life."

"Changing lives. Moving to another state, starting a new life, and everything falling into place. Next!"

"I just sat down with a student that I've struggled with all semester. We've had miscommunication between both of us. I thought he was arrogant and unteachable. He probably thought I was crazy and unclear. When we chatted today we both started out feeling defensive. Yet, we started to chat about his love of classical music, his connection to his mother. The best part was how he associated Beethoven with caramel ice cream. This association was the tipping point for me. I smiled and saw my lack of understanding--and he smiled to see that I cared."

"Life! Biologically, we can run by chance, but I cannot see how we could ever have thoughts, a personality, or a cognitive self by pure accident. Thank God I'm alive."

"September 21, 2008 I Joshua was involved in a serious car accident. I ran head-on into a semi at 70 mph. I was driving a 1974 Dodge International pick-up. No airbags and I wasn't buckled up. I spent 7 weeks in the SLC University Hospital, where I made a full recovery. I was working construction when I got into my accident and believe it or not exactly one year later on September 21, 2009 I began working for the same construction company doing the same physical work. I broke my foot, my knee, hip, ribs, collar bone, jaw, and almost completely cut off my left ear. But my worst injury was my head injury."
